RE: First (annual?) B Out West Social event

I'm sorry to hear about the death in your family, and sorry that you can't come to Moab, Mrs B! But I understand why. Family always comes first! Hopefully we can do it again next year and you can join us then.

RE: First (annual?) B Out West Social event

Oh no!! We'll miss all of you! I hope that at least some of you will be able to work out your issues and come to Moab. I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone. We're currently searching for a babysitter for Dawg (our cat). He normally stays with our son and his wife, but they'll be moving while we're gone so I'm hunting for someone now. I am hoping my younger sister will say yes. I think she probably will, she's an animal lover and so are her kids. The only issue will be that Dawg will be pissed off about being stuck in the house all the time. (can't let him out at her place in the city) He's a country boy! By the way, I mailed a bunch of logo iron on transfers this morning.

RE: kitten and toilet paper

Our old kitty loved to shred the TP. Now our rat terrier does it. If she can get ahold of a roll, it's confetti in no time!

RE: Zucchini Corn Fritters - REVISED

Glad you liked it! I still haven't gotten around to trying it with the apples. It's supposed to cool down this week so maybe I'll finally give it a try. I was also going to try plopping a bit of this into a greased pie iron and trying it over the fire to see what happens.

RE: Just ordered my new pie iron - Revised - Got It

I'm definitely going to get a 2nd one. With 2 boys, 2 daughters in law, 3 grandkids and the 2 of us - one just isn't going to cut it. Last nights treats were much better. They only burnt the first one, the rest were perfect. They are cooking these in the campfire, not over the grill.

RE: Just ordered my new pie iron - Revised - Got It

Ummm that sounds good too. I was thinking this would also work to make garlic cheese bread, using pizza dough, lots of garlic butter and lots of cheese in between. I might have to try that tonight since we have a little bit of pizza dough left.

RE: Just ordered my new pie iron - Revised - Got It

I got my new pie iron in record time. We tried it out last night. The kids made pizza with pizza crust dough (the kind that comes in a can like biscuits) pizza sauce, pepperoni and cheese. We also made some cherry pies using bread and canned cherry pie filling. We need to work on the timing a bit, some of the treats got a little "crispy", but everything tasted great. I can tell we're going to have fun with this thing. By the way, the "kids" are in their 20's..... Tonight they're doing Smores, cherry camp bread (from a mix I bought along with the iron) and portabella mushrooms roasted with mozerella.

RE: B on the road with Chino

You know that this can be used against you by your wife or insurance company...right? ;) "Sit up straight, quit slumping over the wheel, slow down!" And "turn around, I thought is saw a Walmart (or yard sale!"). :S For us it's the other way around... I can never get him to drive by a Walmart! I hate shopping, he's the shopper in the family.

RE: First (annual?) B Out West Social event

I believe that October is half price month in the Oregon state parks. It should be a great time to drive thru there. They have some of the nicest state parks in the country.

RE: B on the road with Chino

It's a Verizon broadband card. They have vastly improved their network over the last year or two. We're getting service in places that used to be "empty".

B on the road with Chino

Chino is on his way home from SE Iowa. If you're interested in following along, you can watch at http://nav.chino.com I know alot of you have seen this program before, but he's always refining it. The video is alot smoother than it used to be and he has added sound. Hopefully someday we'll find a commercial use for it so we can make enough money to B on the road permanently!

RE: Pan Protectors

Good idea. I'm cheap though, I just use double paper towels between the pans to cushion the rattle.

RE: First (annual?) B Out West Social event

David updated the B Rally website to include the logo in a downloadable format. You can go here: B Rally Website and copy the file. Then you can print it onto anything that you want. It's available in a couple of different sizes. If you are printing this on your own computer, you will need to set your printer to reverse print - before you actually print this. Otherwise the lettering on your shirt will come out backwards. If you need an explanation on how to do this, please send me an IM or an email and I'll give you explicit directions on how to set up your printer. It's really very easy! Happy Printing!

RE: First (annual?) B Out West Social event

Hi Billee Just sent me a PM with your mailing address and I'll send you a transfer. I'm printing them today, although I have grandkids coming later and may not get them mailed until Monday. Or, if you have transfer paper, send me your email address and I'll send you the JPEG file and you can print as many as you want. You do need to contact the Bar M and make reservations for dinner on Sunday. Their phone number is 1-800-214-2085. We're looking forward to meeting all of you in just a few weeks now!
